This Passover, an international coalition of Jews is calling for liberation and an end to the violence in Israel/Palestine by hosting Freedom for All Seders around the world.
This Passover, as Jewish movements mobilising our communities against the occupation, we recommit ourselves to fighting for true freedom - collective liberation for Jews, Palestinians, and all people. Join us in holding Freedom for All Seders across the world.
By celebrating Passover together in a unified, explicitly liberatory way, we say to the world that we stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people because of our Judaism, not in spite of it. As we recite in the middle of every Seder, just before we tell the story, holding the matzah high: “This year there are still those who are not free, next year may we all be free.”
The Freedom for All seders across the world are an initiative of Na’amod (UK), IfNotNow (USA), Freedom4All Zurich Group (Switzerland), Laboratorio Ebraico Antirazzista (Italy), Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (NYC) and All That’s Left (Israel/Palestine). In the rich tradition of activist seders including Arthur Waskow’s 1969 Freedom Seder, we have come together to create a new Haggadah, songbook, and Seder toolkit in response to this moment. Our seder will honour the diversity of our diaspora and bring our traditions together. Through this initiative, we embody a Jewish tradition committed to resistance against oppression and devoted to freedom for all.
